Safety

All fans comply with the EU Low Voltage and EMC Directives as well as other EU norms and standards. Protection level in wet rooms:

IPX4 VKO series

1TP7 Electrical installations must always be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Fans installed in rooms exceeding 0-45° C, or in rooms with aggressive gases, are not permitted.

WARNING! Cleaning or other operations must not be carried out on the fan when it is in operation, as there is a risk of damaging the impeller.

Measures must be taken to prevent the backflow of gases into the room from other rooms containing gases.

Mounting

Important! Maintenance and connection work must only be carried out when the power is switched off. 1TP7 Electrical installation must always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Wiring must only be carried out with at least 3 mm of stripped wire on all terminals.

Retning af luftstrømmen er angivet med pile på ventilatoren. VKO-serien monteres i ventilationskanaler fra begge ender og fastgøres. For extractor fans without a switch, it is recommended to install an on/off switch on the fixed power supply.

Fjern herefter beskyttelseshætten. Før ledningen til strømforsyningen gennem hullet, udtag ledningen i længde af 7-8mm til tilslutningsklemmen og fastspænd med skruer. Fastgør ledningen ved hjælp af klemme . Sæt atter beskyttelseshætten.

The order in which the fan must be connected:

Fjern herefter beskyttelseshætten. Før ledningen til strømforsyningen gennem hullet, udtag ledningen i længde af 7-8mm til tilslutningsklemmen og fastspænd med skruer. Fastgør ledningen ved hjælp af klemme. Sæt atter beskyttelseshætten.

Maintenance

Disconnect the power before commencing cleaning. The fan should be cleaned at least twice a year under normal use, or more often if necessary. The fan is cleaned with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, after which it is wiped with a dry cloth.

Brug aldrig opløsningsmiddel!

Guarantee

DUKA Ventilation provides a 36-month warranty on the fan from the date the fan is sold through retail, provided that the requirements for installation and maintenance are complied with and it is installed by an authorised electrical contractor.

If the date of sale of the fan can be called into question, the warranty is valid from the date of manufacture.

Should any operational faults occur within the warranty period due to manufacturing defects, the fan will be repaired or replaced by DUKA Ventilation.

How to use

ProThe product described in this manual is designed for the ventilation of small and medium-sized dwellings, where the dwelling is also heated during the winter period.

All electrical connections, adjustments, maintenance and repairs are only permitted after the power has been disconnected.

Electrical connection is only permitted by authorised electricians.

The electrical installation must be connected to a fused circuit.

Before installation, check the fan for any visible damage to the blades and the duct connection. The duct system must be free of any foreign objects that could damage the blades on the motor unit.
Misuse of the device or unauthorised modification is not permitted.
The fan must not be used by children and persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities, without proper practical experience or expertise, unless they are supervised or instructed in the operation of the fan by the person responsible for their safety.
Do not leave children playing unattended with the fan.
Ensure the prevention of the ingress of smoke, carbon monoxide and other combustion products into the room through an open chimney flue or other fire safety devices.
Ensure adequate air supply to the room to guarantee optimal performance of the fan.
The conveyed air must not contain dust or other impurities, sticky substances or fibrous materials.
Do not use the fan in environments containing hazardous or explosive materials, vapours from spirits, petrol, insecticides, etc.
The natural intake and exhaust ventilation channels must not be blocked.

Installation and connection

1. During assembly and connection, the power must be switched off (fig. 4)
2.  Remove the cover by taking out the screws on the underside of the front (fig. 5)
3.  Take the four parts apart (fig. 6)
4.  Insert the 4 included bolts from the outside into the outermost intermediate piece. Then secure them using the included nuts. The outer screen is refastened using the removed screw (fig. 7)
5. The fan is designed for glass installation from 4 to 17 mm in thickness. For fans with Ø125 mm, a Ø160 mm hole must be made in the glass. One of the included rubber gaskets is placed between the glass and the external part (fig. 8).
6. Fit the second rubber seal onto the other side of the glass. Use the bolts as a guide and fit the second spacer. Make sure that the rubber seal lies completely flat. Secure the spacer with the supplied plastic bolts (fig. 9)
7. Pass the cable through the hole in the intermediate piece and then through the hole in the fan unit – secure the fan unit with the 4 supplied screws (fig. 10).
8. Remove the 2 screws on the cable holder, and take the holder off (fig. 11).
9. Connect the wire in the terminal blocks (fig. 13 or 15) by following the diagrams (fig. 12 or 14). Reattach the cable clamp with the screws.
10. The TH model has a time adjustment knob (fig. 16), which can be set from 2 to 30 minutes, and a humidity knob, which can be set from 60 to 90 % RH.

Maintenance

To ensure the fan retains its function and capacity, it must be cleaned at least twice a year, or more often depending on requirements.

See figures 18–23

1. Disconnect the power before commencing cleaning
2. Remove the front panel
3. Clean the front panel with a damp cloth wrung out in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Avoid water dripping into the motor during cleaning.
4. Using a soft brush, clean the body and blades of the fan.
5. Reattach the front panel and reconnect the power

Guarantee

The fan comes with a 3-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects.

The guarantee applies under the following conditions:

• The fan must be connected by an authorised electrical contractor. The invoice must be presented as documentation
• The fan must be fitted / installed in accordance with these operating and installation instructions.
• Clean the fans at regular intervals
• The fan is not used in vulnerable locations (e.g. in industry or other places where the fan risks being exposed to solvents, high levels of moisture or various gases, etc.)

DUKA S7 – ni ventilatorer i én

S7 er en multifunktionsventilator, som kan monteres i både badeværelser, opholdsrum (med otte ventilationsløsninger) eller bruges som energibesparende varmeflytning. Med den unikke funktionsvælger er det enkelt at ændre funktionen. Løft det runde frontdæksel og vælg funktion.

Bathroom extractor fan (with eight selectable functions)

S7 har otte valgbare funktioner til ventilationsopgave i alle beboelser med naturlig ventilation. Den er designet og godkendt til brug i boligens vådrum (IP44).
Monteres på ydervæg eller loft (separat og godt isoleret kanal Ø80 – 125 mm).

Heat transfer – save energy

S7 har en indbygget elektronisk termostat som styrer ventilatoren til at flytte overskudsvarme fra feks. stue med brændeovn til et tilstødende rum.

Don't forget the air supply

To achieve good and optimal ventilation in the room, you must also ensure:

– Air supply to the wet room, e.g. via a gap under the door, or another vent/grille.

Installation

Preparations

Motorenheden har en unik bajonetfatning, som gør det nemt ved opsætning eller rengøring.
a) Tag fat i egerne med et let greb og drej mod uret.
Løft motorenheden af vægrammen.
b) Vægrammens dæksel holdes på plads med 3 skruer (PH1). Løsn skruerne og fjern dækslet. Skruerne hænger fast i de respektive huller og behøver, derfor ikke at skrues helt ud.

Seals

To prevent water from entering the engine, the partition frame has several integrated seals (seal with silicone, for example, if necessary):
a) På bagsiden, tætning mod underlaget.
b) Ved kabelgennemføringen.
c) Ved skruegennemføringerne, 3 stk.

Bemærk: Eventuel luft mellem gennemføringsrøret og ventilationsrør skal tætnes.

Assembly of the wall frame

Ventilatoren monteres uden på væggen eller loftet. Ved vægmontering, kan lukkespjæld monteres. Passer til kanaldimension Ø100 mm (Ø80-125 mm).
Hvis det ønskes kan følgende tilbehør anvendes:
Rørstuds Ø100 mm (Duka varenr. 351064)
Lukkespjæld Ø100 mm (Duka varenr. 129383).

– Ledningsgennemføringen findes i vægrammens øverste del. El-tilslutningen kan foretages enten skjult fra bagsiden eller øverst på rammen, se billede ovenfor. Stik hul i tætningen med en syl eller lignende skarp værktøj.
– Vægrammen placeres/drejes så ledningsgennemføringen er placeret opad +/- 45 gr.
– Skru vægrammen fast mod underlaget (PH2 x3).

Anvend Dækplade S7 (Duka varenr. 351065), hvis der er for lidt plads til at fæstne skruerne.

Electrical connection

Please note! Must be connected by a qualified installer. For all electrical work on the fan, the power supply must be disconnected.

Ventilatoren er designet til 230 V AC, 50 Hz.
Dobbelt isoleret, skal ikke tilsluttes jord.

a) Tilslut fase og nul i terminalen.

Eventuel jord-ledning kan ”parkeres” på 2 måder:
b) Til højre om tilslutningsterminalen.
c) Til højre om ledningsgennemføringen.

Montering af dæksel og motorenhed

a) Monter dækslet på vægrammen (PH1 x3).

Sørg for at de to 12V plugs bliver placeret i korrekt position (typeskilt nedad, pil opad).

b) Motorenheden sættes tilbage på vægrammen og låses, ved at dreje den med uret. For at finde den rigtige placering af bajonetfatningen, skal” UP” label på motorenheden og væggrammen være afstemt med hinanden.
c) Der findes også 2 stregmarkeringer på undersiden ved afbryderen, som skal stå lige ud for hinanden, så er motorenheden korrekt monteret.

Switch

Ventilatoren leveres med afbryderen i position ”0” (slukket). Ventilatoren aktiveres ved at afbryderen sættes i position ”1”.

Ifølge standarden EN 60335-1 skal ventilatoren kunne afbrydes fra el-nettet. Dette opfyldes med den indbyggede afbryder (2-polet, 3 mm kontaktafstand).

Funktionsvalg

Duka S7 har ni valgbare funktioner. Ventilatoren er fabriksindstillet på funktion 1, hvilket indebærer at den kører helt automatisk i tre hastigheder, se beskrivelsen her under.

At skifte funktion

Løft det lille runde dæksel af, og vælg funktion manuelt med den medfølgende skruetrækker.
Det er muligt at ændre funktion selv når motorenheden er afmonteret vægrammen.

Heat flow

Function 7 Heat flow, with thermostat

Ventilatoren starter ved 28°C og flytter overskudsvarmen til et tilstødende rum. Den kører på høj hastighed 95m3/h.
Ventilatoren stopper igen ved 24°C

Funktioner for midlertidig ventilation

Funktion 4 Auto start ved bevægelse i rummet, når lyset tændes eller når fugtniveauet stiger kraftigt.

Sensor - medium speed 60 m3/h
Note the 2½ minute delay in this function.
Humidity control - high speed 95 m3/h

Funktion 5 Manuel start/stop på kontakt.

Ventilatoren kan tilsluttes manuel start via en separat lys/strømkontakt. Når kontakten tændes, starter ventilatoren og kører på høj hastighed 95 m3/h. Når kontakten slukkes, stopper ventilatoren.

Funktion 6 Auto start ved bevægelse i rummet, når lyset tændes eller når fugtniveauet stiger kraftigt.

Sensor - medium speed 60 m3/h
Humidity control - high speed 95 m3/h

Ekstra i funktion 6: Udluftningsfunktion.

Hvis ventilatoren ikke har været aktiv i mindst 24 timer starter den automatisk og kører på mellem hastighed (60 m3/h) i 30 minutter hver 12. time.

Beskrivelse af funktioner

Kontinuerlig ventilation (konstant)

Ventilatoren kører konstant ved lav hastighed, 40 m3/h, hvilket skaber en god basisventilation. S7 har en selvkalibrende motor som modvirker træk.

Sensor (bevægelse og lys)

Sensoren aktiveres ved bevægelse (IR) eller når lyset tændes. Ventilatoren kører i 15 minutter. Den kører i mellem hastighed, 60 m3/h. Bemærk 2½ minuts forsinkelse i funktion 4.

Moisture management

En selvjusterende fugtsensor føler kontinuerligt rummets fugtniveau. Ventilatoren starter automatisk, når der sker en hurtig stigning af fugtniveauet (feks. ved bad) eller hvis fugtniveauet (RH) overstiger 70%. Når fugtniveauet igen er normalt, kører den ned på lav hastighed eller stopper helt.

Guarantee

Duka S7 har 5 års garanti mod fabrikations- og materialefejl.
Garantien gælder under forudsætning at faktura/regning kan fremvises, og at ventilatoren:

– Er monteret og brugt indendørs i normale husstande og er installeret af autoriseret installatør efter anvisninger i denne brugs- og monteringsvejledning.

– Har overholdt alle anvisninger i denne brugs- og monteringsvejledning.

– Ikke har været udsat for ydre eller indre skader, lynnedslag eller unormale strømforhold.

– Ikke anvendes til industri eller andre miljøer, hvor der er risiko for udsættelse af opløsningsmiddel, høje støvforhold m.m.

Cleaning services

For at bevare funktioner og kapacitet skal ventilatoren rengøres mindst 2 gange pr. år eller oftere ved behov.
Opløsningsmiddel må ikke anvendes på ventilatoren.

Den må ikke dyppes i eller spules med vand.

– Før rengøring: Afbryd strømmen på den indbyggede afbryder.

– Tag motorenheden ud af vægrammen (se figur 1a).

– Rengør åbningen, kanalen og motorenheden med en fugtig klud (ved behov kan opvaskemiddel anvendes).

– Vingen kan rengøres mens den sidder på, eller den kan tages af ved at trække den lige ud. Derefter kan den vaskes.

– Monterer motorenheden tilbage igen og lås den på vægrammen (se figur 5b).

Miljø

Kasserede ventilatorer skal til elektronisk affald.

Denne brugermanual indeholder teknisk beskrivelse, bruger- og servicemanual samt tekniske data og installationsguide for DUKA Pro 30 / 70 / 90 ventilator(er).

Læs denne vejledning igennem inden installation og anvendelse.

Important before installation

Inden montering, service og vedligehold skal strømmen til ventilatoren afbrydes.

The fan is intended for fixed installation and must therefore be connected by an authorised installer.

The single-phase electricity grid must comply with applicable electrical codes and standards.

The installation must be equipped with an automatic circuit breaker.

The device must be connected to the mains power supply via a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) integrated into the fixed wiring.

Check the unit for visible damage to the fan and casing before starting installation. The internal parts of the casing must be free of foreign bodies that could damage the fan components.

Avoid applying pressure to the fan during installation. Damage to the casing can lead to motor failure and noisy operation. Incorrect use and unauthorised modifications are not permitted and will invalidate the warranty.

Ensure that smoke, carbon monoxide and other combustion gases cannot enter the room through open flue ways or other fire safety systems. Adequate air supply must be ensured for proper combustion and extraction of gases through the chimney to prevent downdraughts. Conveyed air must not contain dust or other solid material with impurities, sticky substances or fibrous materials.

Must not be used in explosive or hazardous environments with alcohol, fuel, spray agents, etc.

Air inlets and outlets must not be blocked to ensure optimal airflow.

Ved montage i væg

Når ventilatoren monteres i væg, skal den vendes med de elektriske forbindelser opad. Se figuren herunder.

Ved montage i loft

Samlingen mellem ventilatorstuds og aftrækskanalen skal tætnes 100%, så kondensvand kan løbe igennem studsen.

Lednings gennemføringer skal tætnes 100%.

Lukkespjældet skal fjernes, så der altid sikres naturlig ventilation. Fjernes lukkespjældet ikke kan der samles kondens på bagsiden, der kan brænde ventilations elektronik af. Bemærk at al rørføring på koldt loftrum skal isoleres med min. 100 mm isolering.

På tegningen ses installation for DUKA Pro 30. Installationen for Pro 70 og 90 følger samme fremgangsmåde.

Ventilator typer

Ventilatorserierne er beregnet til ventilation af badeværelser, men kan også anvendes i andre rum, hvor ventilation er ønsket. Modellerne er udstyret med et folie lukkespjæld, som reducerer træk.
Folien kan let fjernes, hvis man ikke vil blokere for den naturlige ventilation, og skal fjernes ved montering i loft.

STD

Ventilatoren tændes og slukkes på en ekstern kontakt.

T

Timeren aktiverer efterløbet af den indstillede tid, når den får en impuls fra den eksterne afbryder.
Indstilles mellem 2-30 min. (Fabriksindstilling 15 minutter)

TH

The fan is controlled by a humidity sensor and a timer. The humidity sensor switches the fan on when the set level is exceeded. Can be adjusted between 60-90%. The timer activates the delay function for the set time when it receives a signal from the external switch. It can be set between 2 and 30 minutes.
(Factory setting 15 minutes)

ST

Med bevægelsessensor og timer. Ventilatoren tændes ved registrering af bevægelse i en afstand på 1 -4 m i en vinkel på op til ca. 100°. Timeren aktiverer efterløbet af den indstillede tid, når den får en impuls fra den eksterne afbryder. Indstilles mellem 2-30 min (Fabriksindstilling 15 minutter).
Alle justeringer af de respektive niveauer udføres under frontlåget. Indstillingerne skal foretages forsigtigt med den medfølgende skruetrækker.

Før ændring af indstillingerne skal ventilatoren kobles af strømmen.

Ventilatoren må kun tilsluttes til lysnettet af en autoriseret elektriker.

Teknisk vedligeholdelse

Vedligeholdelse betyder jævnlig rengøring af ventilatorens overflade. Der bør bruges en blød fugtig klud med mild sæbeopløsning. Overfladen tørres efter med en tør blød klud. Undgå at der kommer vand på motor og printkort.

1. Afbryd strømmen til ventilatoren.

2. Fjern frontpanelet.

3. Rens ventilator bladene med en tør blød klud eller børste.

4. Rengør frontpanelet. Tør fronten af til den er tør igen.

5. Monter frontpanelet.

6. Tænd for strømmen til ventilatoren.

Transport and storage

Store the fan in its original packaging in a dry, well-ventilated room at a temperature of between +5 ºC and +40 ºC and a relative humidity of up to 70 %.

The storage room must not contain aggressive and chemical vapours.

The fan must not be subjected to continuous pressure and load.

HUSK: Alt elektrisk arbejde skal foretages af autoriseret elektriker.

The fan may be transported by any vehicle, provided that it is protected against damage during transport and the elements.

The fan must be protected against knocks and impacts throughout the entire journey

Warranty terms

DUKA Ventilation offers a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act.

In addition, DUKA Ventilation offers a further 36-month warranty on top of the right to make a claim, provided that all the obligations and instructions set out regarding use, installation, storage, transport and maintenance are complied with.

Ventilatoren skal anvendes som beskrevet i brugermanualen.

The warranty does NOT cover:
• Routine maintenance.
• Fitting and removing the fan.
• Fan installation.

Please contact your dealer or installer for warranty service. DUKA Ventilation cannot be held liable for warranty work carried out without prior agreement with us or our dealer.

The warranty does not cover the following cases:
• If the fan has not been installed in accordance with the installation instructions, this also includes parts within the fan.
• If all electrical connections have not been made correctly and in accordance with the manual.
• If the fan has not been properly serviced at regular intervals.
• If there is visible damage to the fan housing or to any parts inside the housing.
• If any technical components have been added to or removed from the fan.
• In the event of incorrect use of the fan.
• Deviation from the user manual.
• Connection to an electricity supply other than that described in the manual, i.e. the standard mains supply.
• Fluctuations in the mains voltage.
• Unauthorised repairs to the fan.
• If the warranty has expired.
• Derogation from transport rules.
• Deviation from storage regulations.
• Fan faults caused by Force Majeure. (fire, flood, earthquake, rough handling)
• If a receipt for the purchase cannot be provided.

DUKA SMARTFAN

SmartFan has a flat design with a short installation depth, which is optimal for tight installation conditions. The fan can be connected to both Ø100 and Ø125 mm ducts using the supplied spigots.

Standby: The fan is out of order. Operation is activated upon start-up of 24-hour mode, upon a signal from the temperature/humidity sensor or activation of an external switch.

24-hour mode: The fan runs at a low speed, ensuring constant background ventilation around the clock. If the fan is activated via the temperature/humidity sensor or an external switch, the operation switches to Silent or Max programme.

Operating the fan

Set up device in app

Setup options
The initial startup of the DUKA Smart App grants access to the Device List. Here, users will have the option to connect the device locally or to a home network, from which one or more devices can be accessed and controlled.

Local connection

When establishing a local connection to the device, it is only possible to control the device when you are connected to the fan's fan ID network. If the connection is lost or disconnected, it is necessary to re-establish it.

To connect to the fan's local network, do the following:
1. Tap local connection under the device list
2. Select SmartFan
3. Select network device search
4. Select the network you wish to connect to. The fan ID number can be seen under the front cover by the rubber flap. The default code is 11111111 (eight 1s).
5. Press Next

A local connection has now been established, and it is possible to control the device and change operating settings. For more on this, see
the control panel.

Connect the extractor fan to the home network

By connecting the device to the home network, it becomes possible to connect multiple devices in the app. Here they can be named and controlled individually.
To control the device via the app on your home network, you must log in to the app. If you do not have an account, a new one can be created within the app.

1. Tap LOG IN TO ACCOUNT on the device list

B. Don't you have a user, then go to step 2

2. Press REGISTER
3. Enter desired username, email address and password
4. Tick the terms and conditions box before creating a user account

6. Tap SmartFan
7. Select the network you want to connect the fan to and enter the password. Press NEXT.

8. Hold down the setup button on the fan for about 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue
9. Tap NEXT
10. Give the unit a name
11. Press READY

The main menu is opened by pressing ☰. The main menu is divided into various menus from which changes can be made.

Ventilator settings

Conditions
Here, silent and max ventilation speeds can be set, and 24-hour mode and the ventilation interval can be activated. 24-hour mode ensures constant background ventilation at the silent level. The ventilation interval allows for ventilation every 12 hours if the fan has not been activated for 24 hours.

Timers
Here, delayed start as well as run-on time and boost time interval can be set.

Current time
Set current time for the fan. Can be synchronised with mobile device.

Sensors
Settings for the temperature and humidity sensor and for activation via an external switch can be made here.
The temperature sensor can be set between 18 and 36 ºC. Can be used for heat transfer.
External contact can be activated if you wish to operate the fan via an external switch.
The humidity sensor can be activated and set to Auto (intelligent humidity control) or Manual (can be set between 40 and 80%)

Factory settings
Restore the device to factory settings.

Wi-Fi setup
Manually connect the device to network.

Firmware
View the firmware version of the device.

Technical maintenance

1. Switch on the extractor fan's safety switch.
The ventilator operation is locked hereafter.

Warning! The safety switch does not cut off the power to the fan.

2. Remove the front panel.
Clean the fan blades with a dry, soft cloth or brush.

3. Wash the front panel under running water. Wipe the front until it is dry again.

4. Turn the safety switch back off. Activate the fan in the app.

Replace battery

If the battery level is low or flat, a warning is shown in the app. If the warning is active, the battery must be replaced.
When changing the battery, the power to the fan must be disconnected. Remove the front panel and the cover for the control panel.
Change the battery (battery type CR1220) on the control panel.
Assemble the fan in reverse order.

Reset the fan (LED Description)

To restore factory settings, press and hold the button for 14 seconds until the LED starts flashing red and the fan beeps.

Access to the button
The LED has the following states:

Doesn't light up: Normal operation of the fan
Glows blue: Warning about transition to setup mode
Flashing blue: The device is in setup mode
Glows red: Warning to restore factory settings or to exit setup mode.
Flashing red: The fan has been restored to factory settings.

The fan starts automatically when the humidity exceeds the set level. It can also be activated manually by turning on the switch.

When the switch is turned off, or the humidity falls below the set level, the fan continues to run for the selected overrun time of 2–30 minutes.

If the fan is only to run on the humidity sensor, it must be connected with a permanent live L and neutral N.

Preparations

Ensure that the pipework is insulated. If it is not insulated with at least 50 mm of insulation, the following may occur:
condensation that can drip down into the extractor fan and cause a short circuit.

Placement of ventilator

The fan must be installed in accordance with the applicable regulations for electrical installations in wet rooms. Find out more at SIK.dk

Preparing fan

The motor unit has a bayonet fitting, which makes it easy to set up and clean.
1. Grasp the front and turn anti-clockwise. Lift the motor unit off the wall bracket.
2. The cover of the wall frame is held in place by 3 screws (PH1). Loosen the screws and remove the cover.
3. If the cable is to be routed through the top of the front panel, a hole must be made in the front panel for the cable. Here, a thinner section has been cut out of the cover so that
is cut off. Use the square piece in the cardboard template to mark out the cutout for the best result.

Assembly of the wall frame

1. Mark the holes using the supplied template.
Drill holes and insert wall plugs into the holes
3. Screw the wall frame firmly to the surface (PH2 x3). Ensure the ”UP” marking points upwards for wall mounting.

Electrical connection

Please note! Must be connected by a qualified installer. For all electrical work on the fan, the power supply must be disconnected.
The fan is designed for 230 V AC, 50 Hz. Double insulated, must not be connected to earth.
1. Run the cable to the XP1 junction box
– The fan can also be connected to 12V via the XP2 connector. Do not connect power to both.

Seals

To prevent water from entering the engine, the partition frame has several integrated seals (seal with silicone, for example, if necessary):
1. On the reverse side, seal against the substrate.
2. At the cable entry point.
3. At the screw bushings (3 in total). Note: Any gap between the bushing and the ventilation pipe must be sealed.

Fit cover and front

1. Screw the lid on
2. Fit the front and turn clockwise until the front is locked in the bayonet fitting.

Switch

The fan is delivered switched off with the switch so that ”OFF” is visible. The fan is activated by sliding the switch so that ”ON” can be seen.

According to the EN 60335-1 standard, the fan must be capable of
disconnected from the mains electricity supply. This is fulfilled by the built-in
switch (2-pole, 3 mm contact gap).

Functions and features

DUKA S8 has 8 functions which are created from the 4 available built-in sensors. Not all sensors are active at all times. See which functions are available
activated in every function in the next section. Functions 1-4 include background ventilation and are the recommended functions for a bathroom.

The built-in sensors are:

– Humidity sensor that sends a signal to the device when there is a major change in relative humidity.

DUKA S8
The S8 is a multi-function fan that can be installed in bathrooms, living areas (with eight ventilation solutions) or used as an energy-saving heat mover. With the unique function selector, it is simple to change the function. Lift the round front cover and select the function.

Bathroom extractor fan (with eight selectable functions)
S8 has eight selectable functions for ventilation tasks in all residential properties with natural ventilation. It is designed and approved for use in the home's wet rooms (IP44).

NOTE: The fan is intended for fixed installation and must be connected by an authorised electrician.

Preparations

Ensure that the pipework is insulated. If it is not insulated with at least 50 mm of insulation, the following may occur:

Placement of ventilator

Preparing fan

The motor unit has a bayonet fitting, which makes it easy to set up and clean.
1. Grasp the front and turn anti-clockwise. Lift the motor unit off the wall bracket.
2. The cover of the wall frame is held in place by 3 screws (PH1). Loosen the screws and remove the cover.
3. If the cable is to be routed through the top of the front panel, a hole must be made in the front panel for the cable. Here, a thinner section has been cut out of the cover so that

Assembly of the wall frame

1. Mark the holes using the supplied template.

Electrical connection

Please note! Must be connected by a qualified installer. For all electrical work on the fan, the power supply must be disconnected.

Seals

To prevent water from entering the engine, the partition frame has several integrated seals (seal with silicone, for example, if necessary):

Fit cover and front

The fan is delivered switched off with the switch so that ”OFF” is visible. The fan is activated by sliding the switch so that ”ON” can be seen.

Create an account and log in to the DUKA Smart App

There are three ways to connect to your fan.

2 Connect the fan to your home network via a local connection

1. Connect locally to the fan as described in the previous instruction: ”Local connection to the fan”
2. Press the settings button
3. Select Wi-Fi setup
4. Tap ”Client”
5. Select the 2.4 GHz home network you wish to add the device to and enter the password for your home network.
6. By ticking the box (recommended) next to ”allow device management via cloud server”, you can control the fan via the app, even if you don’t
is connected to your home network. If you do not tick the box, you can only control your fan while you are connected to the same home network
The fan will now take 30 seconds to connect to your home network.

7. Change your mobile’s Wi-Fi connection so that you are connected to the network you have added the fan to. Also make sure you have created a user

8. The main menu is opened by pressing the menu icon ’☰’
9. Tap ”ADD NEW”

The app will now search the network for the fan. It will now appear as ”S8” and when you select it, it will be added to your user profile.

3 Connect the fan to the home network using the setup function

Open unit list and press ”ADD NEW”
