DUKA S7 – nine fans in one
S7 is a multi-function fan that can be installed in bathrooms, living areas (with eight ventilation solutions) or used as an energy-saving heat mover. With the unique function selector, it is easy to change the function. Lift the round front cover and select the function.
Bathroom extractor fan (with eight selectable functions)
S7 has eight selectable functions for ventilation tasks in all dwellings with natural ventilation. It is designed and approved for use in the home's wet rooms (IP44).
Mounted on external wall or ceiling (separate and well-insulated duct Ø80 – 125 mm).
Heat transfer – save energy
S7 has a built-in electronic thermostat that controls the fan to move excess heat from, for example, a living room with a wood-burning stove to an adjacent room.
Don't forget the air supply
To achieve good and optimal ventilation in the room, you must also ensure:
– Air supply to the wet room, e.g. via a gap under the door, or another vent/grille.

Installation

Preparations
The motor unit has a unique bayonet fitting, which makes setup or cleaning easy.
a) Gently grip the lid and turn anti-clockwise.
Lift the motor unit off the wall frame.
b) The wall frame cover is held in place by 3 screws (PH1). Loosen the screws and remove the cover. The screws remain captive in their respective holes and therefore do not need to be unscrewed completely.
Seals
To prevent water from entering the engine, the partition frame has several integrated seals (seal with silicone, for example, if necessary):
a) On the reverse, sealing against the substrate.
b) At the cable entry.
c) By the screw penetrations, 3 pcs.
Note: Any gaps between the sleeve pipe and the ventilation duct must be sealed.
Assembly of the wall frame
The fans are mounted on the outside of the wall or ceiling. For wall mounting, a shutter can be fitted. Suitable for duct dimensions Ø100 mm (Ø80-125 mm).
If desired, the following accessories may be used:
Pipe spigot Ø100 mm (Duka item no. 351064)
Damper Ø100 mm (Duka product no. 129383).
- The cable entry is located in the upper part of the wall frame. The El connection can be made either concealed from the back or at the top of the frame, see image above. Pierce a hole in the seal with an awl or similar sharp tool.
– The wall frame is positioned/rotated so that the cable entry is positioned upwards +/- 45 deg.
– Screw the wall frame securely to the substrate (PH2 x3).
Use Cover Plate S7 (Duka item no. 351065) if there is too little space to fasten the screws.
Electrical connection
Please note! Must be connected by a qualified installer. For all electrical work on the fan, the power supply must be disconnected.
The fan is designed for 230 V AC, 50 Hz.
Double insulated, must not be connected to earth.
a) Connect live and neutral to the terminal.
Any earth wire can be ”parked” in 2 ways:
b) To the right of the connection terminal.
c) To the right of the cable entry.
Fitting of cover and motor unit
a) Fit the cover to the wall frame (PH1 x3).
Ensure the two 12V plugs are placed in the correct position (rating plate downwards, arrow upwards).
b) The motor unit is fitted back onto the wall frame and locked by turning it clockwise. To find the correct position of the bayonet fitting, the ”UP” label on the motor unit and the wall frame must be aligned with each other.
c) There are also two line markings on the underside near the switch, which must be aligned directly opposite each other, so the motor unit is correctly fitted.
Switch
The fan is supplied with the switch in the ”0” (off) position. The fan is activated by setting the switch to the ”1” position.
According to standard EN 60335-1, it must be possible to disconnect the fan from the mains supply. This is fulfilled by the built-in switch (2-pole, 3 mm contact separation).
Function selection
The Duka S7 has nine selectable functions. The fan is factory-set to function 1, which means that it runs completely automatically at three speeds; see the description below.
Changing function
Lift off the small round cover and select the function manually using the supplied screwdriver.
It is possible to change the function even when the motor unit is detached from the wall frame.

Moisture control – high speed 95m3/h
Function 0 Not used.
Description of functions
Continuous ventilation (constant)
The fan runs constantly at a low speed, 40 m3/h, creating good background ventilation. The S7 has a self-calibrating motor that prevents draughts.
Sensor (movement and light)
The sensor is activated by movement (IR) or when the light is switched on. The fan runs for 15 minutes. It runs at medium speed, 60 m3/h. Note the 2½ minute delay in function 4.
Moisture management
A self-adjusting humidity sensor continuously senses the room's humidity level. The fan starts automatically when there is a rapid increase in humidity (e.g. during a shower) or if the humidity level (RH) exceeds 70%. Once the humidity level returns to normal, it drops to low speed or stops completely.
