DUKA Ventilation offers a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, cf. the Danish Sale of Goods Act. In addition, DUKA Ventilation offers an additional 12 months
warranty, provided that all described requirements regarding transport, storage, use, installation, operation, maintenance and warranty regulations are met
complied with.
To maintain the warranty, it must be documented that the filters have been changed at least once a year with DUKA Ventilation original filters.
Therefore, keep the receipts for these purchases.
Note: Depending on the environment, it may be necessary to change the filters more often.

Structure

The DUKA One C6 consists of an indoor unit, which is divided into a motor section and an electronics section, a heat exchanger, air deflectors, filters, a storm shield and a telescopic tube. The indoor unit, containing the motor and electronics, is situated at the innermost part. The telescopic tube is mounted in the wall, housing the heat exchanger, filters and air deflectors. The filters remove dust and other particles from the air flowing through the unit. The air deflectors ensure the best possible distribution of the air. On the outside is the storm shield, which protects the unit from wind and rain.

Dimensions

For lengths over 450 mm, 1000 mm extension tubes must be purchased separately.

Minimum wall thickness for fitting DUKA One C6

If the wall thickness is below the minimum requirement, it is recommended to purchase DUKA One Spacer.

Position of the core in relation to the wall thickness:

Hole diameter (for mounting) 160-170 mm

3 – Remove the cover panel from the electronics to access the power connection.

4 - Connect the electric cables according to the wiring diagram and route them as shown below. Remember to relieve the cables in the terminals.
Refit the cover plate once the electrical connection has been completed. See the section on El connection for further details. Refit the cover plate.

5 – Use the provided template for easy marking of the necessary drill holes for mounting and entry for concealed cable routing. Then, mount the unit’s electronic part using the screws provided.

6 – Mount the heat exchanger in the pipe with an air splitter and filter for each end. See the order on the drawing below.
Then place the motor part onto the electronics part.

7 – Install the storm screen

If you want the storm shield for your DUKA ONE in a different colour or design, you can replace it with one of the colours and/or models below.

The device must be connected to the mains via the terminal on the circuit board according to the electrical diagram below.

Pairing devices

When connecting devices in a master/slave relationship, synchronous operation and balanced ventilation are achieved in the residence.

The units are connected via terminals on the electronic part as shown in the electrical diagram below.

A minimum of 0.25 mm² cable must be used to connect multiple units in series.

A power supply still needs to be connected to each individual unit.

Operation

Operation of the unit via remote control is subordinate to the buttons on the internal display.
IF REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION IS DESIRED, THE BUTTONS ON THE SIDE OF THE UNIT MUST BE IN THE 0 POSITION.

Front cover features and control panel

By clicking the bottom, top or side of the front cover of the device, you can determine the blowing direction.
Note: The device is most effective when it is open on all sides.
NOTE: If the airflow needs to be shut off for safety reasons, the entire front must be closed and the unit switched off periodically.

Operation

OPERATION ON THE SIDE OF THE UNIT TAKES PRIORITY. IF OPERATION WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL IS DESIRED, THE BUTTONS ON THE SIDE OF THE UNIT MUST BE SET TO THE 0 POSITION.

Humidity settings
If the humidity is below the set value, the unit will drift in stage I.
If the humidity is at the set value, the unit will drift on stage II.
If the set value is exceeded, the unit will start operating in stage III.

The unit only measures humidity when moisture control is activated.

Maintenance

REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DEVICE BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE!

A DUKA One unit must be inspected and maintained at least every 3 months. There may be conditions where it is necessary to
Inspect your device more often, for example in a dusty, dirty or humid environment.
During maintenance, the core must be removed. The core is cleaned while the silencer and filters are cleaned or replaced.

Dismantle the casing parts and remove the air splitters, heat exchanger and filters from the ductwork.

2 – Clean filters, heat exchanger, air diffusers and motor components.

Filters
Depending on how clogged or worn the filters are, they can be washed or vacuumed, but a maximum of 3 times.
Allow the filters to dry before reinstalling them in the device.

Core
Organic particles from the unit's surroundings can settle in the ceramic core or on the fan, so it is important to clean these parts as well.
This is easiest done using a vacuum cleaner or with compressed air.

Cleaning engine parts and air splitters
Organic particles from the unit's surroundings can be deposited on the fan and air splitters.
This is why it is also important to clean these parts.
This is most easily done using a vacuum cleaner, compressed air or a lightly damp cloth. When using compressed air, the fan must be fixed so that it does not rotate uncontrollably.

Pipe routing
Clean the pipework with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
DUKA Clean can be used here.
Allow the pipework to dry before refitting the core and engine.

3 – Resetting the filter alarm

The maintenance alarm is reset by holding down the on/off button on the remote control for 10 seconds, after which the red LED will turn off.

Replacing the battery in the remote control
If the unit does not respond when the remote control is used,

Pull the battery tray out of the remote control to change the battery.

Structure

The DUKA One consists of an internal unit with a reversible motor, a ceramic heat exchanger, a wall duct, filters and air deflectors on both sides of the core, as well as an external storm shield. The heat recovery itself takes place in the heat exchanger, which is protected from dust and dirt by the filters.

Dimensions

For lengths over 380 mm, 1000 mm extension pipes must be purchased separately.

3 – Place the core in the wall penetration

4 – Use a screwdriver to remove the front cover.

5 – Fit the ventilation part

Use the provided template to mark where the mounting holes should be drilled. Drill the holes and insert the plugs.
Mount the mounting plate and fix it to the wall. Attach the fan to the mounting plate.

6 – Attach the front to the fan section and secure it with the screw.

7 – Install the storm screen

Stationary power supply via an integrated switch with a contact separation of at least 3 mm on all poles.
The unit is equipped with an electric motor that has two fixed speeds.
The unit is connected to the mains via a power cord with a mains plug.

Settings and preferences

Operation

The unit is operated with the supplied remote control.
The internal screen is equipped with a coloured LED that indicates the ventilation speed the unit is operating at:
Green: Speed 1 (low speed)
Blue: Speed 2 (high speed)
When operating settings are made with the remote control, this is confirmed on the interior by the diode briefly dimming.

If the unit is turned on/off with the button on the remote control, the unit will start up at the same speed as it was when it was turned off.

The unit will switch to speed II upon moisture impact.

When night mode is activated, the fan will run at speed I for 8 hours. While night mode is active, the unit will not activate the humidity sensor. The diode on the front will be dimmed.

When night mode expires, the device will revert to its previous operating setting. Night mode can be deactivated at any time using the remote control.

Maintenance

A DUKA One unit must be inspected and serviced at least every three months. There may be circumstances in which it is necessary to inspect the unit more frequently, for example in a dusty, dirty or damp environment.

The following is performed to service and maintain the unit:
Remove the screw on the front of the internal screen.
Remove the four screws securing the fan to the mounting plate, and detach the fan from the wall opening.
Remove the core from the wall penetration.

The filters should be inspected at least every 3 months, where they should be cleaned or replaced depending on condition. At least once a year, the filters must be replaced with new original filters from DUKA Ventilation. It may occur that the unit is installed in an environment where a shorter maintenance interval than the minimum prescribed 3 months is required. For example, this could be in a dusty, dirty or humid environment.

For installations where there is a risk of mould, the device must be cleaned particularly thoroughly to completely remove dust and any fungal spores. It may be necessary to use a special cleaning agent. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty on the product.

Structure

The DUKA One unit consists of front cover, electronics part, core where the ceramic exchanger and motor are located, silencer, filters, drip tray,

Minimum wall thickness for fitting DUKA One D6

If the wall thickness is below the minimum requirement, it is recommended to purchase DUKA One Spacer.
Recommended distance between motor and core is 60 mm as this provides optimal heat recovery.

3 - Use the included template for easy marking of required drill holes for mounting and entry for hidden cabling.

4 – Remove the front cover by lifting the retaining tabs at the top of the front cover.

5 – Place cores and sound-insulating mat in the tube

Place the core and the silencer in the pipe. Roll the silencer so that it matches the pipe diameter. Shorten the silencer so that it matches the wall thickness with the core in the pipe on the outside. The silencer is installed loosely so that it can be removed during maintenance of the unit.

6 – Connect the plug

Connect the control panel connector according to the external device connection diagram. Connect the connectors on the switch and on the control panel to each other.

8 – Install storm screen with plastic drip tray
The included plastic drip tray must be clicked onto the back of the storm shield. The drip tray ensures that condensation is directed away from
walls.

If you want the storm shield for your DUKA ONE in a different colour or design, you can replace it with one of the colours and/or models below.

Mounting the control panel using a flush-mounted box

1. Create a recess in the wall to match the dimensions on the drawing. Install the necessary wiring to the installation site where the panel is to be mounted. Place and secure the flush-mounted box.

2. Carefully loosen the retainers on the back of the panel using a screwdriver and separate the front section.

3. Secure the rear of the panel to the flush-mounted box using the mounting holes. Secure it using the screws supplied. Connect the power cable to the control panel in accordance with the El diagram.

4. Place the control panel display onto the mounting frame and click it into place.

Mounting the control panel using a surface-mounted box

1. Find the correct position for mounting the surface-mounted box. Install the cable from the unit.

2. Gently loosen the mounting frame from the control panel with a screwdriver.

3. Mount the mounting frame in the installation box, connect the wires according to the wiring diagram.

4. Click the control panel's display into position.

The device must be connected to a single phase AC 100-230 v / 50-60 Hz power supply.
The device must be connected to the mains via the terminal on the circuit board according to the electrical diagram below.
The unit must be connected to the mains via an automatic circuit breaker, integrated into the fixed wiring system. The circuit breaker must be able to handle actual current consumption (see section Control Panel).

Connecting devices to control

Up to can be connected two units for the same control system. Unit no. 2 is purchased separately.

If only connected one unit, a connection (link) must be established between T1 and T2.

Settings and preferences

The unit is controlled with the control panel.

Please note: The control panel must be fixed to a surface in the working position.
Do not touch the buttons when the control panel is not secured to avoid accidental activation of functions, such as speed changes.
Rapid short-duration keystrokes can lead to malfunctions.
Gear changes may only be made by precisely pressing the desired buttons.

Speed setting

• When speed 1, 2 or 3 has been selected, the unit will run at that speed continuously.

Timers

• After the timer has expired, the unit will revert to the previously selected setting and speed.

Settings - Device Function Selection.

• In heat recovery, the unit alternately runs in supply and extract modes while recovering heat.
• In Ventilation mode, the unit operates exclusively in either supply or exhaust. The direction depends on the electrical installation.

Alarm

• The filter alarm that lights up after 90 days. The filters are cleaned and vacuumed (max 3 times) and the filter alarm is reset by pressing and holding the button until the timer resets and stops lighting up.
• Alarm for warning or emergency stop. The unit will stop as it has detected an error. Something may be blocking the motor or the unit is not connected to the motor. Correct the error and clear the alarm by pressing and holding the button. If the alarm starts again, please contact mail@dukaventilation.dk to have the error rectified.

Maintenance

REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DEVICE BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE!

A DUKA One unit must be inspected and maintained at least every 3 months. There may be conditions where it is necessary to

During maintenance, the core must be removed. The core is cleaned while the silencer and filters are cleaned or replaced.

- Read and understand the user manual before installing and using the device.
- Inspect the product for damage to the fan, core, front cover, electronics and outer screen. There must be no foreign objects
as this may damage the device.

- The unit is for installation in a facade wall.
- Carefully unpack the device.

Connect the light switch to the device via the NO1 and NO2 terminal blocks.
The unit must not be placed in or above wet room zones 0, 1 or 2.

Pairing devices

Interconnecting units in a master/slave relationship provides synchronous operation and balanced ventilation in the home.
It is recommended that 0.25 mm² cable is used for interconnection and that cabling does not exceed 200 metres between devices.
It is not possible to have multiple master units in the same connection. The units must be connected according to the electrical diagrams below.
For interconnected units, only the master unit can be controlled via remote control or on the electronics. Slave units will only
respond to the signal they receive from the master and ignore other signals.

When pairing multiple devices in a master/slave relationship, the master's XT2 terminal must be connected to the slave's XT3 terminal.
The same applies to subsequent devices in the series. It is only possible to have one master unit when connecting multiple units.
It is differentiated in that it does not have a connection to terminal XT3.

DIP 1 - Standby setting
ON - The device cannot be switched off and will operate on stage I in standby mode.
OFF - The device can be switched off and put into standby mode, used if you do not want the device to be put into standby mode. It will only be possible to switch between stages I, II and III on the electronics and by remote control.

DIP 2 - Setting the direction of the device
OFF - The unit will start operation with extraction and will exhaust air in ventilation mode.
ON - The unit will start operation with supply air and will blow air in ventilation mode.

If using multiple devices, it is recommended to set the devices in pairs. Set half of the devices to ’ON’ and the other half to ’OFF’. This setting ensures
Balanced ventilation.

The sensors measure humidity. If the extracted air is above the set level, the unit switches to the highest level in extraction mode. If the humidity falls below the set level again, the unit returns to the previously set level.
If the exhaust overrun selection continues, the unit will run for the extra set time at high extraction speed.

DIP 6,7 - Adjusting the after-run

Overrun timer is used together with the humidity sensor. When the humidity sensor is activated and the increased ventilation lowers the humidity level to the selected level, the device's run-on timer is activated at the selected time interval. When the run-on time has expired, the device will return to the previous operating setting.

DIP 8 - Device reset / Filter alarm reset 

ON - Filter reset (set back to Default position / Off after 3 seconds)

3 - Use the included template for easy marking of required drill holes for mounting and entry for hidden cabling.

4 - Remove the front cover by pressing the buttons on the top and bottom.

5 - Mount the electronics with the supplied screws and remove the left cover plate.

6 - Connect the cables according to the electrical diagram and route them as shown below. Remember to relieve the cables with the cable clamps.

If input #1 is used on the top of the device, use the supplied cupboard template located in the centre of the mounting template,
Use to mark the notch. Drill out the notch so the cover can be easily attached and removed from the device.

7 - After connecting the device's power supply, mount the cover plate.

8 - Place the core in the pipe
Place the core in the pipe and then slide the motor in. Recommended distance between core and motor is 60 mm for optimal heat recovery.

Connect the motor to the electronics with the green connector.

9 - Place the silencer in the pipe
Place the silencer in the pipe and roll it to fit the pipe diameter. Shorten the silencer to fit the wall thickness with the core in the pipe towards
exterior side. The silencer is installed loosely so that it can be removed during maintenance of the unit.

12 - Install storm shield with plastic drip tray
The included plastic drip tray must be clicked onto the back of the storm shield. The drip tray ensures that condensation is directed away from
walls.

If you want the storm shield for your DUKA ONE in a different colour or design, you can replace it with one of the colours and/or models below.

The unit connects to a single-phase AC 100-240V / 50(60) Hz power supply

Connect the device to the mains supply via the N and L terminal blocks.

Connect the light switch to the device via the NO1 and NO2 terminal blocks.

The unit must not be placed in or above wet room zones 0, 1 or 2.

Pairing devices

Interconnecting units in a master/slave relationship provides synchronous operation and balanced ventilation in the home.
It is recommended that 0.25 mm² cable is used for interconnection and that cabling does not exceed 200 metres between devices.
It is not possible to have multiple master units in the same connection. The units must be connected according to the electrical diagrams below.
For interconnected units, only the master unit can be controlled via remote control or on the electronics. Slave units will only
respond to the signal they receive from the master and ignore other signals.

When pairing multiple devices in a master/slave relationship, the master's XT2 terminal must be connected to the slave's XT3 terminal.
The same applies to subsequent devices in the series. It is only possible to have one master unit when connecting multiple units.
It is differentiated in that it does not have a connection to terminal XT3.

Settings and preferences

DIP 1 - Standby setting
ON - The device cannot be switched off and will operate on stage I in standby mode.
OFF - The device can be switched off and put into standby mode, used if you do not want the device to be put into standby mode. It will only be possible to switch between stages I, II and III on the electronics and by remote control.

DIP 2 - Setting the direction of the device
OFF - The unit will start operation with extraction and will exhaust air in ventilation mode.
ON - The unit will start operation with supply air and will blow air in ventilation mode.

If using multiple devices, it is recommended to set the devices in pairs. Set half of the devices to ’ON’ and the other half to ’OFF’. This setting ensures
Balanced ventilation.

Dip 3,4,5 - Setting the humidity sensor

Setting up humidity control
The sensors measure humidity. If the extracted air is above the set level, the unit switches to the highest level in extraction mode. If the humidity falls below the set level again, the unit returns to the previously set level.
If the exhaust overrun selection continues, the unit will run for the extra set time at high extraction speed.

DIP 6,7 - Adjusting the after-run

Setting of overrun time
After-run time is used when activating the light switch and in conjunction with the humidity sensor. When the switch or humidity sensor is deactivated, the unit's after-run timer will activate and continue to operate for the selected time interval. Once the after-run time has expired, the fan will return to its previous operating setting.

DIP 8 - Device reset / Filter alarm reset 

ON - Filter reset (set back to Default position / Off after 3 seconds)
Off - Standard position / Off.

By clicking the bottom, top or side of the front cover of the device, you can determine the blowing direction.
Note: The device is most effective when it is open on all sides.
NOTE: If the airflow needs to be shut off for safety reasons, the entire front must be closed and the unit switched off periodically.

Maintenance

REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DEVICE BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE!

A DUKA One unit must be inspected and maintained at least every 3 months. There may be conditions where it is necessary to
Inspect your device more often, for example in a dusty, dirty or humid environment.
During maintenance, the core must be removed. The core is cleaned while the silencer and filters are cleaned or replaced.

Carefully remove the cable lug from the electronics unit. Use a flat screwdriver to lift the cable lug free from the cable sleeve. Do not pull on the wires.

Filters
The filters are inspected at least every 3 months, when they should be cleaned or replaced depending on condition. At least once a year, replace the filters with new ones
original filters from DUKA Ventilation. The unit may be installed in an environment where a shorter maintenance interval is required
than the minimum prescribed 3 months. This could be in a dusty, dirty or humid environment, for example.
For installations where there is a risk of mould, the unit must be cleaned especially thoroughly to completely remove dust and any fungal spores. The
It may be necessary to use a special cleaning agent. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty on the product.

Faults and problem solving

Transport and storage and Safety

- The device must be protected against shock, impact and weather conditions during transport.
- The device must be stored in its original packaging in a dry and ventilated room with temperatures between 5°C and 40°C.
- The storage room must not contain aggressive or chemical vapours or gases.
- Do not expose the stored device to pressure or any other form of stress.
How to use
- Only use the device for room ventilation. Do not connect tumble dryers or similar equipment to the device.
- The purpose of the unit is to provide basic ventilation in the home.
- The device may only be switched off if required by the authorities or for safety reasons - for example in case of fire or similar.
- The device cannot be used as a heat source.
- The device cannot be used as a dehumidifier.
- Keep explosive and/or flammable dust/vapour/liquid away from the device.
- The air to the ventilation unit must not contain evaporation of chemicals, coarse dust, soot, oil, adhesive substances, fibrous material, pathogens
or other harmful substances.
- Do not block the device channel when the device is in operation.
- Do not allow air flows from the device to be directed towards open flames or similar.
Before installation
- Read and understand the user manual before installing and using the device.
- Inspect the product for damage to the fan, core, front cover, electronics and outer screen. There must be no foreign objects
as this may damage the device.

- In case the device changes ownership, please pass on the quick guide.
Mounting
- The unit is for installation in a facade wall.
- Carefully unpack the device.
- When mounting and installing the device, all applicable building, electrical and technical standards must be followed.
- Follow all electrical safety rules when installing the device. See more at the safety authority at www.sik.dk
- If any of the wires to the device become damaged, they must be replaced according to current regulations. See more at the Danish Safety Technology Authority at www.sik.dk
- Do not pressurise the device. Deformation of the device can result in motor blockage and excessive noise.
Operation
- Disconnect power to the device before installation, service, maintenance and repair. Except for filter changes, see section on maintenance.
- Do not use the device outside the specific temperature range indicated.
- Do not operate or service the device, controller or remote control with wet hands or bare feet as this may result in electric shock.
- Do not allow children to operate the device. Children should be supervised so they do not play with the device.
- Improper use of the device or unauthorised modifications are not permitted.
- The device should not be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are
supervised or have received instructions on the use of the device from a person responsible for their safety.
Cleaning services
- Do not wash the device in water.
- Protect electrical parts from water.

Warranty terms and conditions

DUKA Ventilation offers a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, cf. the Danish Sale of Goods Act. In addition, DUKA Ventilation offers an additional 12 months
warranty, provided that all described requirements regarding transport, storage, use, installation, operation, maintenance and warranty regulations are met
complied with.
To maintain the warranty, it must be documented that the filters have been changed at least once a year with DUKA Ventilation original filters.
Therefore, keep the receipts for these purchases.
Note: Depending on the environment, it may be necessary to change the filters more often.

- Technical components have been added or removed in the device.
- Unauthorised repairs have been made to the device.
- The device is faulty due to force majeure (lightning, fire, flood, earthquake, etc.).
- No receipt can be presented for the purchase.
- The warranty has expired.
